A family, a recipe, and one stubborn crust
The first pizza place this town ever had, and three generations later it's still Jim's family running it.
It started near downtown
Jim opened up in 1969 without much of a plan beyond keeping the crust thin, making everything fresh that day, and treating whoever walked in like a neighbor. Most of them actually were neighbors back then. The dough recipe he worked out that first year is the one we still use.
We moved to University Dr. in 1994. Then came the COVID closings, which we barely got through. Now we're set up next to McAlister's and doing fine. Different addresses, same dough, same family in the back.
How we got here
Jim opens near downtown McKinney and mixes the first batch of dough.
New spot on University Dr. Nobody planned it, but the buffet turns into a McKinney tradition.
We nearly don't make it. Regulars kept calling in orders anyway, and that's what kept the lights on.
Settled in at Eldorado and 75. Same family, same crust.
Family Run
Three generations of Jim's family, and you'll still find them in the kitchen or working the counter.

Texas owned, Texas proud, and here long before McKinney turned into a boomtown.
Made Fresh
The dough gets mixed by hand and the food gets made that morning. It's the harder way to do it and we've never seen a reason to stop.
